Our Mission
The Mission and Purpose of Saint Philip A.M.E. Church is to engage in carrying out the spirit of the Original Free African Society out of which the A.M.E. Church evolved; that is, seeking out and saving the lost, serving the needy through:
- Preaching the Gospel
- Feeding the hungry
- Clothing the naked
- Sheltering the homeless
- Cheering the Fallen
- Providing jobs saving jobless
- Visiting those in prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, senior citizens homes, caring for the sick and shut-in
- Encouraging the thrift and economic advancement
In accordance with our Mission, Saint Philip promotes Stewardship as THE CHRISTIAN LIFESTYLE. The Lord has wondrously blessed Saint Philip. We that " To whom much is given, much is required" (Luke 12:48) and our commitment to Stewardship is to our response to God's grace. There is an inseparable relationship between Stewardship and spirituality. Stewardship is a Standard of Obedience, a Measure of Faith.
As Stewards, we are accountable for our time, talents, gifts,and money, all of which we must use for the honor and glorification of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Stewardship is necessary in order to execute the great commission of building God's Kingdom. We encourage you to commit yourself today to a lifestyle of stewardship.
