FAQ
Q. Will this charge all laptops or do some also need a generator?
A. This charger will charge select laptop brands/models and any unsupported laptops can still be used in conjunction with one of Enerplex's generators.
Q. Will it charge my device in a bright room without direct sunlight?
A. This charger is designed to be used outside in bright sunlight. Some power may be relayed via the solar panels if used indoors, however, it will be a very small amount and may not be enough for some electronics to recognize it or to provide a useful charge.
Q. Will it automatically resume charging after it has been shaded and unshaded?
A. For the most part, yes. However some devices may give an "unsupported accessory" error when the voltage drops and will not automatically resume unless you unplug and replug in the device.
Q. Will the portable solar panel charger charge in bright ambient light (cloudy day outdoors) or does it need direct sunlight?
A. This charger will absolutely work in ambient sunlight. However, please note that the voltage will be reduced, which means charging time for devices will be longer and some devices may give an error.
Q. I have charged this in the sun for a few hours and anything I plug in will not charge, what's going on?
A. The Portable Solar Panel Charger is a direct, sun-to product charge. It will hold or collect power for later and is intended to charge devices directly.
Q. Is this solar panel waterproof?
A. The solar panels are waterproof, however, the Voltage Regulator that you plug your devices into is only water resistant. A splash of water will not damage this part, but if you submerge it under water completely then it will damage the voltage regulator and the charger will not function.
